To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my strong support for Melody of Hope. My daughter, Haven Victoria, and myself attended the artist development workshop called ‘Art of Music Business’ last fall. It was an outstanding program that has demonstrated measurable impact in fostering the growth and confidence of emerging local artists like my daughter. Having witnessed last year’s workshop firsthand, I can confidently say it was not only well-organized and purposeful, but transformative for its participants. The venue alone, Maker’s Gym, was a top notch recording studio with so much to offer that I had to film it to show my daughter’s music producer! We were allowed one-on-one time with the main speaker, Briana Ruelas, a former American Idol contestant. Haven also received updated headshots which we were thankful for.
The Art of Music Business’s Workshop provided a unique, nurturing environment where musicians, songwriters, and vocalists gained real-world skills—ranging from branding, professionalism, finding gigs and music business fundamentals such as keeping up with income and expenses. Through this program, Melody of Hope effectively bridged the gap between passion and career by equipping aspiring artists with the tools, mentorship, and encouragement needed to thrive in today’s creative landscape.
Since last year’s workshop, Haven has gone on to secure more performance opportunities, release additional original music, and collaborate across genres and communities—an indicator of the workshop’s long-term value. More importantly, she was able to interact with so many leaders of Melody of Hope that she wouldn’t have otherwise had the opportunity to do. She was also able to make connections with fellow artists that share her passion for music and performing.
Melody of Hope’s commitment to mentorship, artistic integrity, and community impact continues to be a driving force in the local arts scene. Their approach to artist development goes beyond technical skill; it fosters leadership, service, and the belief that artistry can be a vessel for hope and positive change.
I strongly support them and urge you to do so also. Programs like the ‘Art of Music Business’ are essential to empowering the next generation of artists and ensuring the arts remain a thriving part of our culture. My daughter would in no way have developed into the artist she is today, without the help and support of Melody of Hope. They have made a profound difference in her life.
Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration.
Warm regards,
Heather Thomas
