Steve Gonzales is a singer/songwriter currently living in Frisco, Texas. Steve’s songs explore themes of love, faith, and the struggle between dark and light. Steve grew up listening to his father’s vinyl collection of singer-songwriters of the 1970’s, vintage country, rock, and assorted country-rock and folk-rock artists. This musical mixture would form the basis for his inspiration and led to the rootsy, country-infused style he calls his own.
Steve is currently working to record and bring to life many of the songs he has written over the past decade and plans to release his first EP, Silver and Tumbleweed, in 2026. He has released two songs to date. Panhandle Empire was inspired by the land, people, and myth of the Texas Panhandle, the land that sits between his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his current home in North Texas. Things I Carried is an anthem to the joys and challenges of walking in the Christian faith.
