As the holidays approach, I find myself looking forward to one event in particular: Melody of Hope’s annual Hope for the Holidays Gala.

Hope for the Holidays has become a new tradition for my friends and family. This year marks the 3rd year and it is destined to the best yet. However, that is saying quite a bit—the last two events have been nothing short of wonderful.

If you’ve never attended Hope for the Holidays, it’s truly a memorable evening. This event provides the opportunity to dress up and go on a date with your significant other. Enough with the takeout and deliveryenjoy a gourmet meal! Reconnect with old friends and family. Dance the night away in a beautiful venue.

At last year’s event, guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, live music, special gift bags, and an amazing DJ that kept the party going all night long. With the silent auction and numerous sponsors and vendors, I was also able to get some Christmas shopping done.

Hope for the Holidays reminds me about the true meaning of Christmas, giving. Last year, the most heartwarming part of the evening was seeing the amount of toys guests brought to donate to underprivileged children. There were enormous boxes overflowing with all kinds of giftssoon to be enjoyed by children who probably expected very little for Christmas. This really put the whole night into perspective!

Hope for the Holidays reminds us to love others; it reminds us that we are fortunate and reminds us to give to those in need. This event enables Melody of Hope to share these ideas all year long. This year, MOH is aiming to raise $15,000 to pursue goals of supporting numerous local nonprofits and good causes in 2017.
